The new Logo is in two colours, red and white with the Chinese character based on the Ming style of writing. The red colour signifies strength and vibrancy. The white colour signifies purity and virtue. The Management Committee hopes that the Clan will grow from strength to strength towards a new successful vision.

13th Annual General Meeting

13th Annual General Meeting Corporate Date : 11 February 2006 (Saturday) Time : 3.00 pm Venue : Skylight Café, Oxford Hotel Pte Ltd The Seng Clan Association (Singapore) 13th AGM on 11 Feb 2006 was a water-shed in several ways. (a) A New Team A new team of younger members was elected to office as part of the on-going process of self-renewal. This new team also comprised several senior members who agreed to serve in the management committee to share their experience and provide guidance. (b) A New Focus The meeting agreed not to pursue with the purchase of an office premises in view of the limited financial resources and the higher operating expenditure envisaged. This would enable the new team to focus more on creating bonding and fostering closer ties. (c) A New Impetus In this information age, IT is vital to organizational efficiency and effectiveness. It is therefore important for the Clan to leverage on information technology. Hence, IT and Communications will take on a new impetus as the New Team charts out its future direction. The Seng Clan Association is pleased to present the New Team elected at the AGM to serve you. 13th Anniversary Dinner

Date: 3 March 2006 (Friday) Time: 8.00pm Venue: Mong Hing Teochew Restaurant The Seng Clan welcomed members and families of the Seng Clan to its 13th Anniversary Dinner. The President Mr. Seng Joo How and Adviser Mr. Seng Han Thong expressed their appreciation to all the members for their presence, participation and support. In his welcoming address, the President spoke of three changes taking place within the Association : Management Change A new team of younger members had been elected to office at the 13th AGM on 11 Feb. 2006. This is part of the ongoing process of renewal. Organisation Change The Association is changing the way of communication and organizing activities. This blogsite www.sengclan.blogspot.com is one of these upcoming changes taking place. The Association also has an e-mail address www.sengclan@yahoo.com . Image Change A new Logo will be launched soon to give the Clan a more modern and vibrant image. To create an identity, the Association intends to give each member a plastic membership cum privilege card.

Members and their families were served with a sumptuous teochew dinner. They were entertained by a team of young and talented budding singers who serenaded the night with their melody mandarin and english songs. The highlight of the evening was the lucky draw with shopping vouchers ranging from $20 to $100.

The Management Committee toasted members with their "Yam Seng" to wish all members and their families good health, prosperity and happiness. Going forward, the Association looked towards the active participation and continued support of all members.
